A hydrido ligand bridging a WSi bond is present in a novel hydrido(hydrosilylene)–tungsten complex (see picture) and its η 5 ‐C 5 Me 5 analogue, which were synthesized by photolysis of [Cp′W(CO) 3 Me] (Cp′=η 5 ‐C 5 Me 4 Et, η 5 ‐C 5 Me 5 ) in the presence of H 3 SiC(SiMe 3 ) 3 . This strong hydrido–silylene interligand interaction was revealed by NMR spectroscopic and X‐ray structural analyses.
