A molecular octopus: A ferromagnetic cubane cluster [{Cu II (HL)} 4 ], which has eight vacant coordination sites on its pendent arms, undergoes metal‐driven self‐assembly to form an antiferromagnetic mixed‐valent tetradecanuclear complex with a prismatic propeller‐shaped {Cu II 12 Cu I 2 } core (see scheme).
