Carbon nitride molecules: Photolysis ( λ =266 nm) of triazido‐ s ‐triazine (C 3 N 12 , 1 ) in a nitrogen matrix at 20 K yielded a succession of reactive species (see scheme), including, in order, an apparent trinitrene, NCN, and a novel C 3 N 4 isomer, dicyanocarbodiimide NCNCNCN.
