Exploring new channels : A range of alkali‐metal copper silicates that contain double layers of silicate tetrahedra have been prepared, which contain straight 12‐ring channels that are analogous to those found in LTL‐type zeolites. The framework that defines the 12‐ring channels is neutral and, consequently, only neutral MOH and H 2 O species are able to fill these channels.
