Fours for thought : The title compound was prepared by condensation of the preformed unit {Mo 2 O 2 S 2 } 2+ as a linker on to the trivacant anion [α‐P 2 W 15 O 5 ] 12− . The self‐assembled structure exhibits a modular arrangement (see structure). 31 P and 183 W NMR spectroscopy revealed that the structure of the supramolecular tetra‐unit anion was maintained in solution.
