A breath of fresh air : Air oxidation of [ n Bu 4 N] 2 [Ni II (1‐nor) 3 Br], prepared from [ n Bu 4 N] 2 [Ni II Br 4 ] and 1‐norbornyllithium generates the title pseudotetrahedral organometallic complex in which a nickel center with the formal oxidation state of +4 is present (see structure; Ni purple, Br brown, C black, H green).
