A substructure of a (5,5)‐armchair nanotube was obtained by metathesis reactions with tetradehydrodianthracene. The CC bonds in the product are all unsaturated and form a fully conjugated, beltlike system. A set of molecular building blocks can be used to synthesize other sections of nanotubes as well.
