[Ru( p ‐cymene)Cl 2 (PCy 3 )] was identified as a latent, very tolerant, one‐component catalyst for the bulk polymerization of dicyclopentadiene (DCPD). The robustness of this catalyst in combination with the interesting properties of filled or unfilled poly(DCPD) allows the preparation of novel thermosets (structure shown on the right).
