An intermediate in the metal‐catalyzed distannylation of alkynes , the complex 1 , has been fully characterized for the first time by X‐ray crystal structure analysis and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. [4]Ferrocenophanes 2 are also directly obtained by addition of 1,2‐bis(dimethylstanna)[2]ferrocenophane to alkynes in the presence of [Pt(PPh 3 ) 2 (C 2 H 4 )]. R = H, Me, n Bu, Ph.
