Mobile trivalent cations in solids? The results of temperature‐dependent, single‐crystal X‐ray structure investigations of a Pr 3+ ‐β″‐Al 2 O 3 crystal (see structure on the right, Pr 3+ as black sphere) indicate just such an unusual ionic current transport mechanism.
