A potential starting material for the development of new catalysts , the zirconocene‐betaine complex 3 was obtained from the zirconocene derivative 1 by func‐tionalization of a Cp ligand (via 2 ). Analogous reactions with metallocenes containing titanium, zirconium, or hafnium are relatively unexplored. RCMeCMeCMeCHMe.
