The tripodal hexathiol ligand H 6 −1 is accessible for the first time by coupling 2,3‐dimercaptobenzoic acid ( 2 ) to 1,3,5‐tris(aminomethyl)benzene. The hexadentate ligand H 6 ‐ 1 forms a trinuclear complex with [(C 5 H 5 ) 2 TiCl 2 ] and the complex [Mo( 1 )] with [Mo(O) 2 (acac) 2 ].
