One methylene and five methyl groups are surprisingly the ligands attached to the titanium atom in 1 . Compound 1 is formed from the reaction of [{(Me 3 Si) 2 N} 3 Ti] with an excess of (Me 3 Si) 2 NLi followed by subsequent treatment with CH 2 Cl 2 . Unusual Ti‐H‐C bridges are present in the highly fluxional compound. Whether the methylene group in 1 stems from the solvent or not is still unclear.
