[3,3]Sigmatropic selenocyanate → isoselenocyanate rearrangements lead to the first synthesis of compounds in which the sensitive functional group–NCSe is directed into a vinylic position. The allenes 1 (R 1 , R 2 = H or Me), and the buta‐1,3‐dienes 2 (R = H, Me) and 3 , can be used for the preparation of selenazoles as well as for cycloadditions and deselenations to form isocyanides.
