Only every second channel of the novel host–guest compound 1 is occupied by stacks of cobaltocenium ions (see picture on the right). The channel inclusion compound is formed by spontaneous self‐assembly of [CoCp 2 ] + , Me 3 Sn + , and [Fe(CN) 6 ] 4− ions in H 2 O. The combination of X‐ray crystallography and multinucleus CP/MAS NMR spectroscopy gave optimal insights into the static and dynamic behavior.
