Borole and cluster chemistry are combined for the first time . The result is the title compound (shown right), a novel, intriguing Re 2 Pd 2 cluster with 54 valence electrons. X‐ray structure analysis of this compound, which forms deep blue‐green crystals, showed that the Re 2 Pd 2 unit is planar.
