A λ 3 ,σ 2 SbC double bond that is not part of a cyclic electron system is present in the distibabutadiene 1 , which is formed in the reaction of (2,4,6‐C 6 H 2 t Bu 3 )COCl with Li[Sb(SiMe 3 ) 2 (dme)]. The X‐ray crystal structure analysis of 1 indicates a degree of double‐bond delocalization that, in addition to steric bulk, stabilizes this unusual molecule.
