Ring strain does not destabilize Fe III ( 1 ) and Cr III complexes with η 3 ‐bound triazacyclohexane ligands. In the Cr III complex with isopropyl substituents on the nitrogen atoms, two chloro ligands were readily exchanged for CH 2 SiMe 3 groups. Thus, the easily accessible triazacyclohexanes may serve as sterically less demanding alternatives for triazacyclononane ligands.
