Three terminal tellurido ligands in one complex —this is the closest approach to homoleptic [MTe 4 ] n − ions to date. The telluridotungsten( VI ) complex 1 was obtained from the reaction of [W 2 (O 2 CC 3 H 7 ) 4 ] with K 2 Te 2 . The prospects for [MTe 4 ] n − complexes are not so bad after all.
