Stable as a solid at −40°C , dithiatriselane 1 was formed in the reaction of Se 2 Cl 2 with liquid H 2 S in CS 2 , in addition to other disproportionation products such as 2 and 3 . Reactions in H 2 S 2 provided sulfur‐rich thiaselanes. The 1 H and 77 Se NMR spectra of the product mixtures could be interpreted unambiguously.
