The C 2 ‐symmetric tetrahydrofuran pentamer 1 was prepared in enantiomerically pure form by a convergent synthesis. Compounds of this type are of interest for the construction of synthetic ion channels from polyether helices. TBDPS = t BuPh 2 Si.
