Interesting trapping products with phosphanes and chlorotrimethylsilane result from reactions with the novel intermediate phosphoranylidene carbenoid 1 : These lead to the phosphoniomethanide 2 with PPh 3 , the dihydrodiphosphete 3 with PMe 3 , and the imino(methylene)phosphorane 4 with ClSiMe 3 .
