A description as a cyclopropenylio‐cyclononatetraenide (that is, as the dipolar structure 1 ± with a planarized nine‐membered ring) for the title compound 1 is valid, according to NMR investigations, for the temperature range − 50 to + 50 °C and even in nonpolar solvents.
