A Pt 14 dendrimer is the highest nuclearity complex obtained by the first convergent method for the synthesis of alkyl transition metal dendrimers. The product of the first growth cycle is 1 , which forms by oxidative addition of 4,4′‐bis(bromomethyl)‐2,2′‐bi‐pyridine to [Me 2 Pt( t Bu 2 bpy)] and subsequent introduction of a Pt II center with [Pt 2 Me 4 ‐(μ‐SMe 2 )].
