The disilagermirane 1 is obtained in good yields from (Me 3 Si) 3 SiLi(thf) and GeCl 2 . The germyllithium compound 2 was also prepared; its anion, the higher homologue of the Si starting material for 1 , might prove to be a versatile building block for a great variety of mixed three‐membered rings containing the heavier elements of group 14.
