A rigid trigonal‐bipyramidal arrangement of substituents and consequently a rigid CS bond are found in thione 2 at temperatures up to 180 °C. Compound 2 does not occur in the resonance‐stabilized ylide‐type resonance structure with an aromatic five‐membered ring. It is formed by elimination of HF from cyclopentadiene 1 , the anion of which should display a diverse coordination chemistry.
