For the determination of individual exposures to alkylating carcinogens , monoclonal antibodies (mabs) that selectively bind a broad spectrum of N3substituted adenines 1 show great potential. The key to the generation of these tautomer‐specific mabs was hapten design based on AM1 calculations.
