The cover picture shows schematically a “completely synthetic” heterodinuclear metalloprotein. A Cu II ion (blue) is coordinated to three histidine residues, and a Ru II ion (red) is bound to three bipyridine units located at the other end of the three peptide helices. The three‐helix bundle forms upon complexation. These results hold promise for the de novo design of artificial light‐harvesting metalloproteins. M. R. Ghadiri et al. report more about the assembly of the two different metal atoms and three peptide molecules on p.1594 ff.
