Chloride and hydrogensulfate are not bound as strongly as dihydrogenphosphate in host compounds 1 and 2 . Like the phosphate‐transporting proteins, these hosts bind the anions exclusively by hydrogen bonds. 1 : R = COR′, 2 : R = COR′, SO 2 R′.
