The reaction of lanthanoids, Hg(C 6 F 5 ) 2 , and t Bu 2 pz (pz = pyrazolate) in THF provided the first monomeric lanthanoid complexes of type 1 with solely chelating pz ligands. The structure on the right depicts the neodymium complex.
