An angle of 162° is found for the WCH unit of the title compound 1 , which thus deviates significantly from the linear arrangement predicted by simple bonding models for complexes of this type. NMR data for 1 suggest that this bending may be intrinsic to the molecule rather than the result of crystal packing.
