The shortening of the GaGa bond in Trip 2 GaGaTrip 2 ( 1 , TripH 2,4,6‐ i Pr 3 C 6 H 3 ) by 0.17 Å to 2.343(2) Å on formation of the radical anion 1 ˙− is due, at least in part, to the formation of a one‐electron π bond between the gallium atoms.
