The conversion of a SiAs bond into a CAs bond is surprisingly simple by the reaction of the arsasilene 1 with organic isocyanides, from which the arsaalkenes 2 are formed. These react with Brønsted acids with the elimination of i Pr 3 SiX (X F, Cl) to give the cyclic arsaalkenes 3 . Is = 2,4,6‐ i Pr 3 C 6 H 2 ; R c ‐C 6 H 11 , 2,4,6‐Me 3 C 6 H 2 .
