For films of C 60 or C 70 and azacrown compounds with long side chains, the question immediately arises whether the fullerene molecules are positioned in, between, or on the baskets (see A – C ). Surface pressure‐area diagrams, UV/VIS spectroscopic data, and the preliminary results of atomic force microscopy measurements are consistent with model A.
