The denticity of the thiolato ligand decides whether the cubane‐like cluster 1 or the bicubane‐like cluster 2 is obtained in the reaction of copper thiolates with the “butterfly” cluster [Cu 2 S 3 W(O)(PPh 3 ) 3 ]. This could also be confirmed by further cluster syntheses. Tungsten–copper–sulfur clusters such as 1 and 2 are of interest, inter alia, as models for the active centers of some enzymes.
