A simple route to large FeTe clusters seems to have been found by the authors in the redox reaction between [Fe(CO) 5 ] and (Ph 4 P) 2 Te 4 . Depending on the molar ratio of the reactants either (Ph 4 P) 2 ‐ 1 or (Ph 4 P) 2 ‐ 2 is isolated. In addition, 1 can be converted into 2 by elemental Te. Especially noteworthy in 2 is the Te2   2 2−ligand which links two hardly distorted Fe 4 Te 4 cubanes.
