A new pattern of SN bond lengths is found in the anion of (PPh 4 )[PdCl 2 (S 2 N 3 )] (see structure shown), the product of the reaction of explosive S 5 N 6 with (PPh 4 ) 2 [Pd 2 Cl 6 ]. The distances between sulfur and bridgehead N atoms average 1.604 Å and between sulfur and metal‐coordinated N atoms 1.486 Å; the latter bond lengths are among the shortest known in M‐S‐N rings.
