The phosphasilenes Is 2 SiPR (Is = 2,4,6‐tri‐isopropylphenyl, R = SiMe 2 t Bu, Si i Fr 3 ) are remarkably thermally stable. At about 60°C, they react with white phosphorus to give the 1,2,3‐triphospha‐4‐silabicyclo[ 1.1.0]butanes 1 . Compounds with P 3 Si framework thus join the known P 4 , Si 4 , and P 2 Si 2 heterobicyclobutanes.
