A reactive SnSn multiple bond system is found in distannane 1 , as evidenced by the smooth reaction with tellurium to form the Sn 2 Te three‐membered ring 2 . Compound 1 is formed by thermolysis of the corresponding substituted cyclotristannane, which is prepared by a surprisingly simple, high‐yield synthesis from an aryl Grignard reagent with tin(II) chloride. Aryl = 2,4,6‐ i Pr 3 C 6 H 2 .
