A strong structural relationship exists between B 2 S 3 and the formally isoelectronic polymeric anion aggregates of the title compounds. These consist of Fe 2 N 2 rings linked to form chains through common exocyclic N atoms. Distorted trigonal‐planar coordination is observed for the Fe II centers.(In the diagram, ○ represents N and • represents Fe.)
