The binuclear Th complex 1 contains a new type of P 6 ligand , which is derived formally from P 6 benzvalene. Amber‐colored, extremely air‐sensitive crystals of 1 are formed on cothermolysis of the butadiene complex [Cp 2 Th(η 4 ‐C 4 H 6 ] and P 4 in toluene.
