Six‐and seven‐membered titanacycles are present in compounds 1 and 2 , respectively. Compound 1 is the first compound with an oxidized sulfur chain that is stable as a solid at room temperature and on exposure to air. It isomerizes rapidly in solution to form the ring‐expanded product 2 . The driving force for this rearrangement is presumably the high oxophilicity of the titanium atom.
