Not a polymeric structure, but discrete molecules are present in the thiolate complexes [{M(SAr) 2 } 2 ] (M Mn, Fe ( 1 ). Co; Ar 2,4,6‐ t Bu 3 C 6 H 2 ). The central [M 2 S 2 ] unit is planar, the metal atoms are surrounded in an almost trigonal planar fashion. Thiolato transition‐metal complexes are relevant as models for investigating the active centers in metalloproteins.
