A six‐coordinate nitrogen atom in the frame‐work of a closo ‐azadodecaborane(12) 1 was identified by NMR spectroscopy. The icosahedron was constructed from nido ‐azaundecaborane(l3) and BH 3 via the conjugate base of 1.
