A nitrile analogous lower coordinated phosphorus chalcogenide is the most surprising structural feature of the anionic wolfram complex 1 . The bent PSe   2 ⊖unit is bonded side‐on to the tungsten; a terminal seleno‐ligand and a bidentate tetrahedral PSe   4 3⊖ligand. Complete the coordination sphere of the metal center.
