The largest cluster so far characterized X‐ray crystallographically is formed together with a little 2 (structure: figure on right) in the reaction of CuCl with Se(SiMe 3 ), and PEt 3 . An intermediate en route to 1 could be Cu 9 , cluster. On heating 1 to 160°C Cu 2 Se is formed.
