The 1,2:3,4:5,6‐trianhydrohexitols 2–4 of meso ‐allitol, meso ‐galactitol, and rac ‐altritol, respectively , which are not yet accessible from sugar precursors and are attractive C 6 building blocks, were prepared from the epoxycyclohexenes 1 . A structure analysis was carried out for 3 .
