The deformation of the heptasilanediyl‐bridged benzene ring in 1 is less than that of the analogous heptamethylene‐bridged benzene ring (deviation of the benzene C atoms from the plane, 6.6 and 4.5° versus 17°). This finding is ascribed to the high flexibility of the polysilane chain. Paracyclophane 1 is obtained by reductive coupling of 2 with sodium in the presence of 18‐crown‐6.
