A new polymer has been shown to be an effective hydrogenation catalyst: specifically, the polymer that results from copolymerization (through γ‐ irradiation) of the isocyanide complex 1 with dimethylacrylamide in the presence of N,N ′‐methylenebisacrylamide. The Pd II centers are initially pre‐hydrogenated to Pd 0 , after which the catalyst becomes stable, especially with respect to the loss of metallic centers.
