The pagodane → dodecahedrane concept is extended significantly by the S N 2 synthetic variant, both from the preparative as well as the methodological standpoint. Starting from the pagodane‐bislactone 1 , dodecahedranes and homologous dodecahedranes with specific substitution patterns, e.g. 3 (R CO 2 CH 3 ), are accessible via the anti,anti,syn,syn‐dibromide esters 2 .
